How the builder works

Click a slot or drag across several slots. Name the block in the panel, then save it. It starts as an event.

Drag a block to another day or hour. Drag the bottom edge to change how long it lasts. A task can be marked done, which keeps the same color and fades it.

Copy a link when someone else should start from this week, or download a file when you want it in a calendar app or a note.

What you can export

The share link encodes the week in the address. The person who opens it gets an independent copy. Their edits stay on their screen.

The ICS file is one weekly event per visible block, in floating local time. Import it into Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar. The file does not update itself later.

The text file is a plain outline of the visible days, with times and a done mark on finished tasks. Hidden weekend blocks are left out.

The PNG is a picture of the same grid, using the quiet block colors from the page. It is for a slide or a message, not for importing.

Share a week

Copy a link when someone else should start from this week. The link is a separate copy. Their edits stay on their screen, and your saved week in this browser stays put.

Export ICS

The ICS download is one weekly event per visible block, in floating local time. Import it into Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar. The file does not update itself later.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. You can add blocks, share a link, and export a file without signing up. OnlyBusy does not keep a copy of the week on a server.

Where is the week stored?

On a normal visit the week is written to localStorage in this browser. Clearing site data removes it. A shared link does not replace that stored week.

Is a share link the same week?

No. The link carries its own copy of the blocks. Opening it shows that copy. Editing it does not change the week stored in the browser that created the link.

What does the ICS file do?

Each visible block becomes one weekly event with a floating local time. You import the file yourself. It does not sync into a connected calendar on its own. A Saturday block is left out while weekends are off.

Can I change the days and hours?

Yes. Weekends can be turned on. The visible range runs from a start hour through an end hour, and each slot can be 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Monday is the first column.

Writing a private Busy block into someone else's Outlook or Google calendar is a different job, covered in show busy on Google Calendar and Outlook without sharing the event.
